Vula Connect / Policies
Website terms and conditions
Terms for using the Vula Connect information website.
1. Who operates this website
“Vula Connect”, “we” and “us” refer to the business operating this website. To confirm: full legal name, legal form, registration number (if applicable), physical and postal address, and business telephone number. General enquiries: [email protected].
These terms concern use of the Vula Connect website. They do not replace a signed proposal, service agreement, statement of work or service-level agreement. Please read them alongside our privacy policy, cookie policy and refund and cancellation information.
2. Services and enquiries
The website describes identity governance, security advisory, implementation and managed support services. Its content is general information, not a security assessment of your systems, a guarantee of regulatory compliance or a promise that a particular service will suit your environment.
Sending an enquiry does not by itself create a service engagement, reserve capacity or authorise access to systems. Services begin under separately agreed scope and commercial terms. Any access to your environment requires appropriate authority. Do not send credentials or confidential client datasets with an initial enquiry.
3. Quotes and engagement terms
Pricing is scoped following discovery. Any proposal should identify the deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, fees, applicable taxes, payment terms, timetable and support arrangements. Website descriptions do not create response-time commitments or service levels. No payment checkout is included in the reviewed website.
The applicable service agreement governs cancellation, termination, refunds and changes to scope, subject to mandatory law. Nothing here removes applicable rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Required supplier disclosures and any transaction-specific terms must be completed before introducing online ordering or payment.
4. Permitted use
You may browse, link to and use the website for lawful information and enquiry purposes. Do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, disrupt availability, impersonate someone, misuse another person’s information, or scrape contact details for unlawful marketing. Security testing requires prior written authorisation.
If you share information with us, ensure you have the authority to do so. We may take proportionate steps to protect the site against abuse, subject to applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
Vula Connect and its licensors retain rights in the website’s original branding, writing, design and assets. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their owners. You may view pages and retain reasonable copies for evaluating our services, preserving any relevant notices.
Commercial redistribution, modification or use of our brand requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law. A link must not falsely imply endorsement or an affiliation. These terms do not restrict statutory exceptions to intellectual property rights.
6. Availability, accuracy and external links
We aim to keep information useful and accurate, but website content may change and may contain errors. Confirm material details in an agreed proposal before relying on them for business decisions. Maintenance, provider faults or events outside reasonable control may affect availability.
External links are offered for convenience. We do not control those sites or their terms, security or availability. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement. Contact us if you identify a material error or suspicious link.
7. Responsibility and legal rights
Cybersecurity and identity controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that an incident will never occur. The allocation of responsibilities, deliverables and any permitted limitations for paid services belongs in the applicable service agreement.
Nothing in these website terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud or gross negligence, or limits a non-waivable consumer remedy. These terms do not require you to assume all risk for personal information entrusted to us.
8. Communications, disputes and changes
For website questions or concerns, email [email protected]. An automatic acknowledgement, if used, is not acceptance of a proposed engagement. Electronic communications are governed by applicable law; receipt is not made conditional on us choosing to reply.
South African law applies, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you. Please contact us to try to resolve a dispute. This does not prevent you approaching a competent court, regulator, ombud or other lawful dispute-resolution body.
Updated website terms will state an effective date and apply prospectively. They do not retrospectively amend an existing service agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible. To confirm: legal operator and supplier disclosures, effective date.
